MICROBE-LIFT Nitrifying Bacteria contains select strains of Nitrosomonas, Nitrospira, and Nitrobacter.Nitrosomonas convert ammonia to nitrite and Nitrobacter and Nitrospira convert nitrite to nitrate.
For new tanks add 1 tsp per 10 gallons every other day until the ammonia level is acceptable.In established tanks add 1 tsp per 10 gallons of tank water after every partial water change as well as every time new fish are added to the tank.
